Hoekstra Wins Michigan Senate Primary

Former congressman Pete Hoekstra has won the Republican primary for U.S. Senate in Michigan, reports the Associated Press.

Hoekstra, the favorite to win the primary, defeated businessman Clark Durant for the chance to challenge incumbent Democrat Debbie Stabenow in November. According to the RealClearPolitics average, Stabenow leads Hoekstra by 11 points.
